My Cooking Biography!
* A "Sweet Success" is simply anything that turns out well, helps others, contains a learning moment or isn't a complete flop. Sweet Successes are not limited to desserts/baked goods :-)
*Growing up my dad did most of the cooking. Some people find this odd. I find it odd when the men don't cook. My husband doesn't cook so that took some getting used to.
*My mom can cook but she would rather have my dad do it.
*When I was younger and my parents weren't home for dinner they would ask my younger brother (five years younger than me) to cook the dinner; not me.
*My Granny is the best cook around. She is from Mississippi and she makes all of those yummy Southern meals.
*I must clarify that I am simply a recipe follower, not a recipe creator. If the recipe seems too complex OR contains things we don't eat I might attempt to change it.
*Sooooo...Here I am, married to a wonderful guy, moving around all the time and trying to figure out how to do all of those "homemaker" things. I am learning as I go and sharing my sweet successes (and sour failures) with you.
